COURSE OVERVIEW – The candidates for HEtech’s Forklift Operator Program are individuals who wish to be apprentices in Forklift handling, maintenance personnel and current operators who have been trained by “field practices”, but not yet exposed to the formal side of Forklift subjects.
This program is designed to increase the Forklift Operator’s knowledge, skill and proficiency level through classroom and hands-on training. Students can achieve Qualified Forklift Operator status by successfully completing written and hands-on segments
ELIGIBILITY – Requirements for Certification
- Be at 18 years and above
- Certified Fork Lift Operator certification
- Secondary school certificate or 1 year’s trade course with 1 years related experience
- 2 years Spotter or Forklift Helper experience
- Pass competency test e.g. written and practical examination
Who Should take the Program – The Program is designed for Forklift Operators. Additionally, the program is designed for those personnel who needing formal training for heavy equipment, rigging and lifting activity, Management personnel.
EXAMINATIONS:
Written examination – Written examination consists of 60 multiple questions. Candidates are allowed 60 minutes to complete the test.
Practical examination – The successful completion of Certified Forklift Operator Practical Examination demonstrates a candidate’s safety operation and driving competency.
CERTIFICATION OF TIME FRAMES – Candidates must pass both written & practical examinations to be certified for a Two(2) –years period. Any tests passed within a three (3) months period towards certification.
RECERTIFICATION – HEtech certification is valid for one year. Candidates must complete all of their recertification requirements during the one month prior to their certifications. There is no grace period after certification has expired. Candidates whose certification has lapsed must take the full written & Practical examination to be certified again. The Certified Forklift Operator recertification written examination consists of 30 multiple- chose questions with a time limit of 30 minutes. There is no requirement for Practical Examination for recertification.
GAIN FROM THIS COURSE – Certified Forklift Operator, operate the Forklift Truck as per OSHA safety requirement, should be able to demonstrate or have knowledge of how to :
- Inspect and capable to all kinds of Forklift Truck pre use inspection’s
- How a Fork Lift work
- Capable to read and understand the load chart.
- Recognize hazards
- Use various types of Power lift and their and their applications.
